The UK Government has initiated and funded a number
of projects aimed at promoting energy-efficiency and
the development and use of cleaner and more energy efficient
technologies.
Many of these schemes offer businesses (particularly
SMEs) financial assistance to implement energy saving
measures and reduce the cost of their energy bills.
With the implementation of the CCL
in April 2001 a further £150 million a year was
made available to UK businesses investing in energy-efficient
technologies.
