The PMG is designed to improve the agricultural processing
and marketing infrastructure in England by helping farmers
to become more competitive, respond to consumer demand
and add value to their produce.
Under the scheme grants of up to 30% of total eligible
costs are available to erect new buildings, refurbish
old premises and buy new equipment. The minimum eligible
size of a project is £70,000 and the maximum grant
that can be awarded is £1.2 million.
The grant is open to applications form a wide range
of those involved in agricultural production, processing
and marketing.
